Tree Removal, Pruning and Clearing Across Tiny

Crew of four in hard hats beside a wood chipper and truck.

Properties here run from waterfront lots along the bay to deep, wooded acreage inland. The work changes with the lot: tall trees close to cottages and decks on the shore, and clearing or thinning on the bigger rural parcels.

Whatever the property, we plan around what's underneath, take trees down in sections where there's no room to fell, and chip and haul the brush. If you're not there full time, we can walk the property with you and do the work once the plan is agreed.

Our crew is based just east of the township, the same tree crew based in Midland that handles takedowns, pruning and stump grinding across the area.

On the shore

Waterfront Tree Removal on the Georgian Bay Shore

The township has about 70 km of Georgian Bay coastline, and shoreline trees take the full force of the wind and squalls coming off the water. A tree leaning toward the cottage, with root lift on one side or a dead top, is worth having looked at before winter.

On tight waterfront lots, with the building, deck and septic close together, takedowns are usually done in sections with rigging rather than felled whole.

Bigger parcels

Clearing Wooded Acreage

If you're building on a wooded lot, the County of Simcoe's Forest Conservation By-law regulates clearing on properties of one hectare (about 2.47 acres) or more. Cutting to put up a building is generally not restricted when the approvals or permits are already in place, so get those sorted before we start.

On smaller lots the by-law doesn't apply, and we can open up the building area, driveway and septic bed while keeping the trees you want.
