24-Hour Help When a Tree Comes Down

Climber taking down a tree in sections over a lawn, with a log hanging from a rope.

A tree through the roof or across the driveway doesn't wait for business hours, and neither do we. Call (249) 492-2378 any time, day or night, from anywhere in Midland or the nearby towns, and tell us what's down, what it's resting on and whether anyone is hurt or trapped.

If someone is injured, or a tree is on power lines, call 911 and your hydro utility first. Stay well back from downed wires and anything touching them. Once the lines are safe, we can start.

Our first job is stopping things from getting worse: taking weight off the roof, cutting away limbs that could still fall, and opening up a blocked driveway. The full cleanup can follow. We're the local tree company people call for scheduled work too, from takedowns to trimming.

What Counts as an Emergency

On a house or garage

A trunk or large limb resting on the roof can shift and do more damage, especially under rain or snow.

On a vehicle or blocking the driveway

We cut it off the car and clear a path so you can get in and out.

Hanging or split

A limb hung up in the canopy, or a trunk split down the middle, can drop at any time.

Leaning after a storm

A tree that's suddenly leaning, with soil heaving at the base, has lost its anchor and needs attention fast.

After you call

Emergency Tree Removal: What Happens Next

We'll ask a few quick questions on the phone: where the tree is, what it's on, and whether power lines are involved. That tells us what to bring and how urgent it is.

On site, the first cuts are about making it safe. That might mean lifting a trunk off a roof in sections, taking down a hanging limb, or cutting a path through to the house. Anything that can wait until daylight, like grinding a stump or hauling firewood, waits.

If you're making an insurance claim, take photos of the damage before anything is moved. We can itemize the invoice so you have something to pass along with your claim.

Costs

Pricing After Hours

Urgent and after-hours jobs usually cost more than the same work booked ahead, because crews and equipment are called out on short notice and the work is often more dangerous. Typical local prices for scheduled takedowns run $400 to $1,500 for small to mid-size trees and $1,500 to $4,000 or more for large or hazardous ones; urgent calls sit at or above that range.

We'll tell you the price on site before the main work starts.

When it can't wait

When Every Minute Counts

Do you really answer at night?

Yes. Emergency calls are answered 24/7, including weekends and holidays.

Should I call the power company first?

If the tree is touching power lines, yes. Call your hydro utility, keep everyone well back, and call us once the line is safe.

Will my insurance cover it?

That depends on your policy. Take photos before anything is moved and call your insurer. We can give you an itemized invoice to pass along.

Do you take emergency calls outside Midland?

Yes. We take emergency calls in Penetanguishene, Tiny, Tay, Elmvale, Coldwater and Port Severn too.

Something Down Right Now?

Call any time and we'll talk you through what to do until we get there.
